What I did before I joined this team...
I graduated in 2006 and completed my Internship (residency) at New Somerset Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa. I liked acute medicine and worked primarily in Emergency and Trauma Centres in Cape Town after residency, before emigrating to Canada in 2013. The first community I worked in was Chetwynd, BC, where I had the privilege of working with my father. In 2015, we moved to Williams Lake where I did Family Practice, Addictions and Emergency Medicine.
In 2020, I moved to Vernon and became a full time hospitalist.
What I value or enjoy most about this team...
The VJH Hospitalist Team is just a great group of physicians that is open to new ideas and ways to improve care to patients, while also taking care of one another.

What I like to do when I am not working...
I like mountain biking, hiking and spending time on the water during summer months with my family. I hate to say it, but I also enjoy watching series on Netflix. I enjoy playing guitar and pretending that I am a rock star…I plan to play more golf in the summer.
One thing you may not know about me...
I played in a band and was the lead singer…but it was a long time ago now.
